There are a few ways to build a deck with the Clan
Steel Viper cards found in the new Crusade
expansion for BattleTech.
1) Use an appropriate Alliance card (such as The Invading Clans) so that Steel Viper cards
can be put into a deck with other Clan cards.
2) Acquire a lot of booster packs (about one per desired Steel Viper card) or do some trading to acquire enough Steel Viper cards to build a deck. Remember, it may not be desirable to include in a deck only cards with a Steel Viper affiliation; some 'Mechs with a general Clan affiliation are probably a good idea, too. A natural match is the Battle Cobra Prime, a 40-ton 'Mech (4/1/5), and a few monsters like the Turkina Prime (6/3/11)or Night Gyr Prime (10/2/9) might also be a good idea.
3) Pull the cards specific to a specific clan from a preconstructed Clan deck, and replace as many of them as possible or that you care to with Steel Viper cards.
Non-mech cards can also add to the flavor of a Steel Viper deck (notably the R&D command card, which can be tapped to draw a card and make an additional deployment, and Coup De Grace, which doubles the number of damage counters placed on an enemy unit).
