Take part in amazing exploits with the most popular comic book heroes in the Marvel Super Heroes Adventure Game! In this roleplaying game, due for release June 30, players assume the identities of Spider-Man, Wolverine, Iron Man and others to dive into the all-out action and madcap mayhem that have made Marvel Comics the leader in the comic book industry. Simple rules, combined with a wealth of strategy, lead quickly to dramatic events with fast and furious game play. Suggested retail price is $24.95.

Designed using the award-winning Saga game rules, fate cards are played to perform actions and tell a dramatic story. There are five suits of fate cards, each based on the attributes of a famous Marvel character: Intellect is represented by Mr. Fantastic, Strength by the Hulk, Doom (the villains suit) by Dr. Doom, Agility by Spider-Man, and Willpower by Dr. Strange. Players use the cards in their hands to further game play and to build on the abilities inherent in the characters--when playing a smart character, Intellect cards are more beneficial than Agility cards. A roster book is included with the game which contains 50 Marvel comic book characters, pre-built and ready-to-play, or players can create their own characters. Working closely with its partners at the Marvel Entertainment Group has enabled TSR to ensure that the game's storylines are current and action-packed. Lead game designer for the Marvel Super Heroes Adventure Game is Mike Selinker.

Inside each Marvel Super Heroes Adventure Game is an offer for free Marvel comics. Customers simply mail in the response form, plus shipping and handling, for a free, three-month subscription of their choice for the following comic book titles: The Amazing Spider-Man, Avengers, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Uncanny X-Men, Wolverine or X-Men. In addition, retail stores participating in the TSR Gold Promotion will provide a free pack of four unique fate cards to customers purchasing the game, while supplies last. These cards feature Lockheed, Ghost Rider, Impossible Man and Deadpool.

The adventure game comes complete with a perfect-bound 208-page rulebook, which includes all the rules for game play, as well as a game scenario, a 64-page roster book featuring 50 main Marvel characters--lavishly illustrated with new art from the Marvel Bullpen--and a deck of 96 full-color fate cards. Everything is packaged in a box with a book-style top flap.

Beginning in August, 1998, new roster books will expand on the adventure game by increasing players' pools of favorite characters. The first supplement will include 144 pages of X-Men characters, ready to play with the base game. August will also bring players the "X-Men: Who Goes There?" adventure, packed with new scenarios featuring the heroes and villains of the Marvel base game.
