A series of official, high-quality Magic T-shirts emblazoned with some of the best looking art from the game are now available to fans.

Three different types of the "Magic Ts" are available from ASL Apparel, Inc., which produces them under an agreement with Magic: The Gathering publisher Wizards of the Coast.

Card T-shirts feature a 10" wide by 15" high reproduction of an actual Magic card printed on the back of the shirt and the Magic: The Gathering logo printed on the left front breast. These shirts are available in black, white, and gray and several different cards from a variety of releases are available in each color. For example, Black Lotus from Original, Exalted Dragon from Exodus, Commander Greven from Tempest, Chronatog from Visions, and Sliver Queen from Stronghold in black; Rathi Dragon from Tempest and Shard Phoenix from Stronghold in white; and Bad Moon from 5th Edition and Incoming from Unglued in gray.

Image-only T-shirts feature a reproduction of Magic art by itself and are also available in black, white, and gray. These feature some of the game's most dramatic art, and include Mindwarper from Stronghold in black, Avenging Angel from Tempest in white, and Hammer of Bogardan from Mirage in gray. "We are also planing to add a couple 'Image Only' T-shirts from the Urza releases," says ASL President George Lotspike. "We have Serra Avatar and Lightning Dragon as our prime candidates, but want to wait and see if there are two that are more popular with Magic players."

Mana T-shirts are available in black and are emblazoned with a large reproduction of one of the Magic mana symbols in the center of the chest. Three of the five mana symbols--the red "mountain" flame, the white "plains" sun, or the black "swamp" skull--are available. "At first we were not sure how Magic players would respond to our Mana-T's, so we tested the waters with what we thought to be the most popular deck colors at the time," says George. "Since introducing Mana-T's last Fall, they have become one of our top selling items ... reportedly there were a lot of Black Mana-T's being worn at Gen Con this year. We have plans to bring out Blue and Green Mana-T's this Fall and have Mana-Caps (same idea single Mana symbol) on the schedule for Spring 2000."

All of the Magic T-shirts are made of 100% cotton and very good value for the money. Skirmisher recommends them for anyone interested in Magic or its art. "We produce a very high quality product and provide outstanding service--in stock items are sent out the next day by priority mail (two-three day delivery). Our goal is to provide Magic T-shirts and apparel to the Magic community that the players want to wear. Our Magic T-shirt Contest is the best way we have found to give the Magic players a way that they can voice their opinions on what style (card-T or image-only) and which cards.

In addition to the ASL also produces Dojo tee shirts; some good looking polo shirts (in both black and white) embroidered with small reproductions of all five Magic mana symbols embroidered on the left breast; and black baseball caps embroidered with the Magic: The Gathering logo in front and the five mana symbols in back.
